Warrior Code

The Warrior Code is the root of every choice a warrior cat makes. Failing to follow these rules will result in a punishment as severe as exile.

1. Defend your clan even with your life. You may have friends from other clans but your loyalty must stay with your clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.

2. Do not hunt or trespass on another clan’s territory

3. Elders and kits must always be fed first. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.

4. Prey is killed only to be eaten.  Give StarClan thanks for its life.

5. A kit has to be 6 moons to become an apprentice.

6. Newly appointed warriors will be kept vigil for 1 night after receiving their warrior name.

7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored an apprentice.

8. The deputy will become the leader once the leader dies or retires.

9. After a death or retirement of a deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.

10. A gathering of all 4 clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting at this time.

11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.

12. No warrior may neglect a kit in danger, even if the kit is from another clan.

13. The word of the clan leader is the warrior code.

14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats in battle, unless they are against the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defence.

15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

   They forgot 16: Thunderclan Medicine cats should break the No Mates Rule as often as possible. 🙂 LOL

   I think that they can’t have mates because they have no cat to deliver the kits. Also they will be distracted in helping their clanmates. If their kits or mate get hurt they will probably try to heal them before they heal the clanmates that are more hurt and then their clanmates could die.

   But I do think it should be allowed!! It wasn’t eving in the code of the clans book!!
